I spend a lot of time outside of the US in Colombia and other South American countries. By the end of 2015, virtually all of the ATMs and POS machines down there will not be able to accept swipe cards. Will TD Bank (USA) be upgrading its US bank debit cards with technology before the end of the year?

Thank you for coming to TD Helps, Curtis! We'll be sure to answer your question about chip debit cards.
Although TD Bank currently does not offer this type of technology as of yet, we're always looking for ways to provide our customers with the best banking experience possible. We encourage you to stay tuned for updates. We'd like to point out that you can use your debit card anywhere Visa is accepted. We recommend carrying more than one method of payment while you are abroad as well.
