I want to know specifically about debit card purchases. Not atms. I do not plan to use atms at this time. As for what country purchases will be made, that is Chile.

Great question, Daniel. We'll be happy to respond here on TD Helps.
We're pleased to inform you that you can shop with your TD Visa debit card at millions of locations that accept Visa across the globe. At this time, we do not charge foreign transaction fees when using your TD Visa debit card making purchases overseas, including Chile. However, we do recommend carrying more than one method of payment, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
If you will be visiting Chile soon and you have not placed a travel notification on your account, we recommend reaching us directly 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000. After account verification, our Banking Specialists will be more than happy to help. If you're already overseas, please dial us directly at 1-856-751-9000 or call Collect with operator assistance from any land line phone by asking the Operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 (if you are able to gain access to a land line).
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, you can also submit your travel notification via secure message. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you are or will be traveling. If you are a TD Bank BusinessDirect user, please direct your browser to: http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8.
Once the travel notification is placed on your account, it makes us aware of foreign transactions on your account and helps monitor your account's security. Thank you for the response. I have already told TD Bank before I left about going to Chile, and they added something to my account for it. I have a form of Chilean pesos which I've been using, but if there is no charge for purchases on debit cards, I'd like to see if I can use it over seas somewhere. Thank you for the response. Helped a lot, it is much appreciated
