My family members in Canada have USD accounts at their local TD CanadaTrust, and I just opened a new convenience checking at a TD Bank in the US. They were told that international wire transfers would be free between the TD Banks in Canada and the US, but the TD Bank rep who helped me open the account told me a fee of $40 would be charged. She said unless a person is moving money from his TD account in Canada to his own TD account in the US, there will be a wire transfer fee. Could you please confirm?

Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today, Ann Marie. First and foremost we would like to Welcome you to the TD Family! We would also be happy to assist you in clearing up any confusion on our Cross-Border Banking.
You are able to send wire transfers between your TD Canada Trust account and your TD Bank account with no wire transfer fees assessed to you. We're sorry to inform you that there will be a fee assessed to your TD Bank account, if the wire transfer is sent from one of you family members TD Canada Trust account. Depending on your account type fees may be applicable for a wire transfer; we recommend that you view our Personal Fee Schedule: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We hope this information helps and please let us know if there is any additional questions that you may have.
