Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps this morning, Fazie. We'd be happy to help clarify the difference between our TD Savings account and a TD Young Savers account.
Whether you're saving for a house, a trip, or simply putting money away, our TD Savings and Money Market accounts is the help you need to get started! For more details on these accounts, please visit: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT. Although most of our Savings accounts can be opened as custodial accounts, if you're looking for an account specifically for a minor (under the age of 18), we do offer a Young Savers Account which is designed to help kids save and start learning about money. For more information on this account please check out: http://bit.ly/1pxm2Zo. If you are unsure of which account is best for your needs, we invite you to visit our Savings Selector Tool here: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF.
You may open the account online by selecting the "Open Account" box, via telephone at 888-751-9000 24/7, or by visiting us during lobby hours here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please keep in mind, to set up a Young Saver Savings account. You will need to visit your local TD Bank Store together with your child and you will be listed as the custodian on this account. Please be sure to have your Driver's License, their Birth Certificate, and both of your Social Security Numbers handy. Please also note that they will be listed as the minor on the account and you are the custodian of the account.
Here is our Personal Deposit Account Agreement http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for you to view for more information.
We hope this was helpful information, Fazie. Let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
