I'm 17 and considering opening an account under my parents as a custodian. Would I be able to access my own account and deposit my own checks without having to sign in to my parents account? This is the reason we're leaving our old bank

Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Alex. We'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
In order to open an individual Checking account with TD Bank, you must be at least 18 years of age. As you mentioned that you are under the age of 18, we do ask that an adult accompanies you at one of our nearby TD Bank Stores to open a joint Checking account. For help locating a TD Store near you, please visit: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We invite you to take a look at the types of Checking accounts we currently offer here: https://go.td.com/2aHjRCr. You may also check out our Checking Selector Tool by following the link provided here https://go.td.com/KmmHe7 for help choosing a Checking account that is the best fit you. We also invite you to view and compare our personal Savings account products by following this link https://go.td.com/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool https://go.td.com/2g1rrtS; which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs
Please kindly keep in mind that both of you and your parent or guardian will need to provide a valid form of identification such as Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc. and Social Security number. As you are a minor, acceptable forms of identification for minors includes; School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card. Once you decide to visit your local TD Store location, we recommend speaking with a Customer Service Representative in regard to the access you may be able to have on your account.
We hope this helped, Alex. Please enjoy your weekend, and happy holidays.
Customer Service Team, Mount Laurel
