Is it possible to write checks for both US and Canadian currencies from the same bank account or do I need two separate accounts?

Great question, Terri! Thanks for visiting TD Helps.
All accounts with TD Bank N.A. are operated in the US dollars only. As such, you do not have the ability to write checks in a foreign currency directly from your account.
For our customer's convenience, we offer International Money Orders to pay bills or send money in another currency. International Money Orders can be purchased at a TD Bank Store during lobby hours. We recommend contacting the Store you intend to visit in advance to learn more about the ordering process. You can find locations and hours here: https://go.td.com/2k77X95.

If you meant to get our sister bank, TD Canada Trust there are a variety of ways you can reach them. If you'd like, you can re-submit your question to their TD Helps page by clicking this link: http://go.td.com/1QBOF4U or check out this link: https://go.td.com/1woOVay for all of your contact options.
We hope this helps, Terri. Have a great day!
