Hi Karin, we appreciate you coming to TD Helps for assistance.
When it comes to depositing into someone else's TD account, if you have the account number, you may write "For Deposit Only" on the back of the check and deposit it into their account. Please note that the check will not be put in as cash. We apologize for the inconvenience however, only the account signer may cash the check. The good news is that in many cases, the first $100 will be available immediately and the remainder may be available as early as the next business day. Exceptions do apply so we recommend viewing pages 38-41 or our Personal Deposit Account Agreement located here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ.
If you have any questions, please let us know by submitting a new question or give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
Hope this helps and take care, Karin.
