In order to open a business account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification number for your business. You may take a look at some of the TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you look to open an LLC, additional documents would be needed. One of the documents listed above is required for account opening but you can bring more than one if you desire: The documents used to form and register your business, the fictitious name registration or the Operating Agreement. Additionally, you will also need to bring documentation of your LLC Resolution.
Please also note, a business account must be opened with the business being registered in our TD Bank footprint (Maine to Florida).
