Thanks for brining your question to TD Helps today.
We'll be more than happy to clear up any confusion you may be experiencing.
While many financial institutions, including TD Bank, have their own person to person transfer services, most use the Zelle network to initiate these transfers.
Here at TD Bank, the service used to perform person to person transfers is called Send Money, and based on the information you have provided, it sounds as though you may already have located this feature within your Personal Online Banking. However, we'll be happy to review this with you in further detail.
To access our Send Money feature, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking, which you can do by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you have successfully logged in, towards the top, center of your screen, you should see a tab that reads 'Send Money.' By clicking on this tab, you will be brought directly to our Send Money feature, where you'll have access to not only send funds to anyone in the United States, but you may also request funds from them.
As it sounds as though you may be interested in receiving funds from someone, you may wish to use the 'Request' tab to have either an email or text message sent to your friend or family member with your requested amount. Your friend or family member will either receive a text message or email depending on contact information you had originally provided for them.
Your friend or family member may also speak with their financial institution for instructions on how to have the funds sent to you directly. Should they use a service similar to Send Money, the funds will either be sent directly to your account, or you may receive instructions on how to receive the transfer through a text message or an email, depending on the information you provided your friend with.
If you have any trouble initiating a Send Money transfer, or any additional questions, you're more than welcome to connect with a Specialist from our Tech Support Team, and they'll be happy to help. To reach a Specialist, you may simply dial 800-493-7562, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We hope this helped answer all your questions.
Take care, and have a great rest of your day.
